Job summary

MTR Corporation in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to oversee EMU bogie, suspension, braking and pantograph maintenance. You will supervise a crew, coordinate repairs and ensure safety standards during scheduled and unscheduled activities.

Qualified candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering diploma with 6+ years in rail maintenance, including 2 years in supervision. Shift duties required; join a growing company with strong Hong Kong presence.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience, including 2 years in supervisory role

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and lead a team to conduct scheduled overhaul and unscheduled repair maintenance of EMU bogie, suspension, brake, pneumatic and pantograph systems in accordance with standards and procedures, safely and efficiently.
• Plan and organize day-to-day maintenance activities, implement rolling stock equipment modification and test/trial, supervise contractor’s works and ensure availability of spares, tools and equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Determine corrective actions for defects identified during overhaul maintenance and provide recommendations to facilitate decision making.
• Support failure investigation and provide solutions to improve safety, reliability and performance of the EMU systems

Education

Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering

Job description

• Supervise, coordinate and lead a team to conduct the scheduled overhaul and unscheduled repair maintenance activities of electric multiple unit (EMU) bogie & suspension systems, brake & pneumatic systems and pantograph systems in accordance with maintenance standards and procedures in a safe and efficient manner
• Act as an overall in-charge of the maintenance team to plan and organise day-to-day maintenance activities, implement rolling stock equipment modification and test/trial, supervise contractor’s works and ensure availability of spares, tools and equipment for the maintenance tasks
• Determine corrective actions for component defects or faults identified during overhaul maintenance and provide recommendations to facilitate decision making
• Support failure investigation and provide solutions to improve safety, reliability and performance of the responsible EMU systems

Requirements

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• A minimum of 6 years’ relevant experience, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level

Self-motivated, with good analytical ability and interpersonal skills

Remarks

• Candidates with extensive experience but lower qualification will also be considered

Required to perform shift duties on irregular pattern of hours
