Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong seeks a senior IT Infrastructure leader to plan, direct and coordinate the delivery of cross-domain services including mainframe, Unix/Linux, databases, middleware and container platforms. You will drive strategic initiatives, modernization roadmaps and governance across large-scale programs.

The role requires 12+ years in IT with 5+ years in management, strong leadership and stakeholder skills, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 12+ years in IT with at least 5 years in IT management.
• Solid experience across IT infrastructure platforms: Mainframe, Unix/Linux, databases, middleware and container platforms.
• Good knowledge of platform security, vulnerability & patch management, monitoring and observability.
• Experience in private/public cloud infrastructure management is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead multiple technical teams (+20) on large-scale programs.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP and/or CSM/PSM are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and risk awareness.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and controlling the delivery of IT infrastructure services across 3 of domains (mainframe, distributed, database, middleware and container platforms)
• Ensuring the IT infrastructure related projects are delivered on time & relevant controls are performed accurately & properly according to the Bank's standard procedures
• Assist in preparation of department budget, resource planning and infrastructure investment proposals
• Prepare strategic plan and proposal on information technology deployments in line with the Bank's business strategy, including platform modernization and automation roadmaps
• Lead and support multiple infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance, resilience and security of IT systems
• Supervise the teams managing platforms’ administrations and operations
• Establish and enforce standards for configuration management, monitoring, vulnerability & patch management across all managed platforms
• Develop the relevant staff with the right kinds and level of skill, including cross‑training and succession planning across platform and automation teams
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators (e.g. HKMA) and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day to day work

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably major in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Preferably over 12 years' experience in the IT sector, with at least 5 years in an IT management role;
• Solid experience across IT infrastructure platforms, including Mainframe, Unix/Linux, databases, middleware, and container platforms (Kubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift)
• Good knowledge of platform security, virtualization, vulnerability & patch management, monitoring and observability processes
• Experience in private/public cloud infrastructure management will be an advantage
• Good project management and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage multiple technical teams with +20 team size and large-scale infrastructure programs
• Holder of professional certifications such as ITIL (Foundation or higher), PMP (Project Management Professional) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) is considered as advantage but not a must
• A team leader with strong communication skills, stakeholder management ability and risk awareness
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
