Job summary

Gfi World in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Service Engineer to support APAC clients with electro-mechanical systems. You will install, service, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites and ensure compliance with service contracts.

The role requires a degree in electronic/mechanical/biomedical engineering and 5+ years in robotics or electro-mechanical environments, with strong communication and a proactive mindset. Travel across APAC is involved, and you will collaborate with sales and HQ teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years engineering experience in robotics or electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide instrument installation and maintenance, technical advice, consultation & troubleshooting
• Complete service documentation according to the company's specification and requirement of service contract
• Site readiness check and install new equipment
• Maintain spare part inventory, test equipment, tools and technical data documentation
• Coordinate field support with customers, sales teams, HQ staff and other areas for escalations and feedback
• Enhance, debug and upgrade existing products

Your role:

• Provide instrument installation and maintenance, technical advice, consultation & troubleshooting
• Complete service documentation according to the company's specification and requirement of service contract
• Site readiness check and install new equipment
• Properly maintain spare part inventory, test equipment, tools and technical data documentation
• Closely interact and communicate with customers, sales teams, headquarters support staff and all appropriate areas of the company to schedule and coordinate field support functions, for critical call escalation, information feedback and product improvements.
• Enhance, debug and upgrade of existing products

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above in Electronic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
  
• 5 years+ engineering experience to handling the Robotics and or electro-mechanical systems
• Self-motivated and proactive, with good interpersonal skills and innovative mind-sets;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
