Job summary

China Construction Bank (Asia) is seeking an experienced banking professional to manage and grow a client portfolio in Hong Kong. You will develop deposits and cash management solutions while maintaining high credit quality and strong client relationships.

You will conduct KYC, review credit proposals, and drive revenue through cross-selling and up-tiering. Excellent English and Putonghua skills are essential, with a background in commercial banking preferred.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in Business or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years relevant banking experience with strong knowledge of deposit and cash management products and services, capable of handling deposit and lending portfolio independently.
• Background in commercial banking is welcome.
• Strong business development skills and knowledge of banking products with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial services/products offered to PRC clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of credit and lending policies and standard practices.
• Fluency in English and Chinese including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of clients needing financial services and customized products.
• Execute strategies to meet revenue targets and maximise profitability for the Bank.
• Prospect and generate new business by expanding the customer portfolio and cross-selling opportunities.
• Conduct credit analysis and review proposals with persuasive arguments.
• Follow up with clients to complete loan administration in post-credit monitoring.
• Perform routine account monitoring and maintain credit quality.
• Conduct regular KYC assessments and ensure onboarding complies with AML policies.
• Maintain regular client visits.
