Job summary

CPJobs International in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Architect to lead the full lifecycle of flagship residential and landmark projects from feasibility through handover.

You will oversee design quality, manage consultants and contractors, liaise with government authorities, and drive budget control to prevent delays and cost overruns.

Applicants should hold HKIA status or equivalent, with at least ten years post-qualification experience and fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related discipline
• Member of HKIA or equivalent; Authorized Person status advantageous
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience on large-scale local projects
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project development cycle, from feasibility studies, master planning and schematic design, through to tender, construction and handover
• Design & Quality Control: Review architectural drawings, material submissions and method statements to ensure alignment with premium brand standards
• Consultant & Contractor Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary external teams including lead architects, structural/MEP, QS and main contractors
• Statutory & Government Liaison: Liaise with government authorities to ensure timely submissions, approvals and compliance
• Risk & Cost Control: Monitor budget, manage variations and resolve site conflicts to mitigate delays and cost overruns
