Job summary

China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Architect to lead the full project development lifecycle from feasibility through handover, ensuring premium design and brand alignment.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review drawings and submissions for quality, and manage budget risks while liaising with government authorities to secure timely approvals. Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• HKIA membership or AP status is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience with major developers or top-tier practices on large-scale local projects.
• Deep understanding of local regulations, land administration, and real estate market.
• Strong leadership, analytical problem-solving, and negotiation skills; able to work under pressure.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project development cycle, from feasibility studies, master planning and schematic design, through to tender, construction and handover
• Design & Quality Control: Rigorously review architectural drawings, material submissions and method statements to ensure alignment with the company’s premium brand standards and design intent
• Consultant & Contractor Management: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary external teams, including lead architects, structural/MEP, QS and main contractors
• Statutory & Government Liaison: Actively liaise with relevant government authorities (e.g., Buildings Department, Lands Department, Planning Department) to ensure timely submissions, approvals and compliance with all statutory requirements
• Risk & Cost Control: Work closely with the internal and external parties to monitor the project budget, manage variations, and proactively resolve site conflicts or design clashes to mitigate delays and cost overruns

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or related discipline
• Member of HKIA or equivalent, possessing Authorized Person (AP) status will have a distinct advantage
• Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, solid track record working with major property developers or top‑tier architectural practices on large-scale local projects
• In-depth understanding of relevant regulations, land administration procedures and the local real estate market
• Strong leadership, analytical problem‑solving and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
