Job summary

• 10–15 years of experience in project management, programme delivery or business transformation within financial services.
• Proven experience in M&A-related initiatives including post-merger integration (PMI).

• Establishment of new business entities, banking desks or banking businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, large-scale cross-functional programmes.
• Strong governance, risk management frameworks and programme controls.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong command of English; Cantonese and Mandarin is highly preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or relevant Agile certifications would be an advantage.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Transformation Project Manager to lead high-impact business transformation initiatives within the financial services sector. You will drive end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, governance requirements and operational priorities.

The ideal candidate will bring strong business transformation and M&A experience, with a proven track record in post-merger integration, acquisition-related PMO, or the establishment of new business entities, banking desks or financial services businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Programme Delivery: Lead project planning, scope definition, milestones, governance and execution to ensure successful delivery within agreed timelines.

• Business Transformation: Drive strategic business initiatives, including M&A integration, business expansion and the establishment of new business entities or banking operations.

• Programme Governance: Establish and maintain robust governance structures, reporting mechanisms and delivery frameworks.

• RAID Management: Identify, assess and manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate stakeholders across business units, operations, compliance, risk and other relevant functions to drive execution and resolve delivery blockers.

• Stakeholder Management: Engage senior leadership and key business stakeholders to maintain alignment, facilitate decision-making and communicate programme progress.

• Delivery Planning: Establish appropriate Agile or hybrid delivery approaches, implementation plans and milestone tracking.

• Business Outcomes: Monitor progress against strategic objectives, manage competing priorities and ensure initiatives deliver the intended business value.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in project management, programme delivery or business transformation within financial services, preferably banking.

• Proven experience in M&A-related initiatives, including one or more of the following:

  • Post-merger integration (PMI).

  • PMO support for acquisitions, business development or strategic expansion.

  • Establishment of new business entities, banking desks or banking businesses.

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, large-scale, cross-functional business programmes.

• Strong understanding of business governance, risk management frameworks and programme controls.

• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Experience with Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Strong command of English; proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly preferred.
