ConnectedGroup Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Operations Associate to oversee outsourced Middle Office, Fund Operations and Client Servicing. You will manage service quality, controls and risk, partnering with Asia Trading Desk, Fund Management and third-party providers to ensure reliable delivery and governance.

The role also involves deputising for the Operations Manager and guiding regional operating model changes.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years in investment operations, asset management or related fields.
• Experience overseeing outsourced operating models and third-party performance.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle, cash, reconciliations, settlements and client servicing.
• Experience with institutional clients and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication, governance and issue-management skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversee outsourced services across Middle Office, Fund Operations and Client Servicing to meet SLAs.
• Serve as escalation point for operational issues, failures, control weaknesses and client-impacting incidents.
• Partner with Trading, Fund Management and Client Management teams to support Asia client delivery.
• Build relationships with Distribution, Client Teams and Investments for effective enquiries.
• Represent Hong Kong Operations in governance forums and senior discussions.
• Oversee daily operations and controls to support Fund Management across APAC markets.

I am currently helping our Client seeking a candidate with Middle Office and Client Service experience to join the team in Hong Kong.

Role Summary:

• This senior role oversees outsourced operational services supporting the Asia business. You will drive service quality, strengthen controls and manage operational risk across core investment operations.
• As a key partner to the Asia Trading Desk, Fund Management, Client Management and third-party service providers, you will help ensure reliable service delivery and provide operational leadership across the region.
• You will oversee provider accountability, operational risk and controls, support the continued growth of the Asia business, and contribute to the development of the APAC operating model.
• You will also deputise for the Operations Manager and represent the function in governance forums, change programmes and senior stakeholder discussions.

Your role:

• Oversee outsourced service providers across Middle Office, Fund Operations and Client Servicing, ensuring delivery meets agreed service levels and standards.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues, service failures, control weaknesses and client-impacting incidents.
• Partner with Client Management, Trading and Fund Management teams to support Asia client service delivery and resolve operational matters effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including Distribution, Client Teams and Investments, to support effective client enquiry management and service delivery.
• Represent Hong Kong Operations in internal and external forums, building confidence and credibility with stakeholders.
• Oversee daily operations and controls, ensuring effective processes support Fund Management across APAC markets.
• Manage operational risk across the trade lifecycle, including cash management, reconciliations and settlement activities. Ensure issues are identified, escalated and resolved appropriately.
• Monitor provider performance through governance forums, KPIs and SLA reporting, driving accountability, service quality and continuous improvement.
• Lead root-cause analysis and remediation of operational incidents, ensuring sustainable solutions are implemented and embedded.
• Provide oversight and support for operational changes, including ETF and valuation processes, in line with the broader control framework.
• Support new business activity, client onboarding, product launches and regional operating model changes.
• Produce clear management reporting and governance materials for senior stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement, automation and operational efficiency across the oversight model.
• Provide coaching and technical guidance to team members and deputise for the Operations Manager as required.

Ideally you have:

• 8-10+ years of experience in Investment Operations, Asset Management, Fund Administration or Custody.
• Proven experience overseeing outsourced operating models and managing third-party service provider performance.
• Strong knowledge of investment operations, including trade lifecycle management, cash management, reconciliations, settlements and client servicing.
• Experience supporting institutional clients and managing operational relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Strong operational risk, control, governance and issue-management skills.
• Ability to lead incident resolution, apply sound judgement and manage senior stakeholder escalations.
• Experience delivering operational improvements, automation initiatives and operating model changes.
• Familiarity with ETFs, fund accounting or valuation oversight is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination and leadership skills, with confidence representing the function in regional and global forums.
