Job summary

ES Corporate Functions supports a well-established hedge fund as it seeks an experienced Operations Associate to drive the firm’s operational framework. You will own institutional counterparty setups, KYC/AML maintenance, legal document tracking, and fund entity administration.

The ideal candidate brings direct buy-side or financial institution experience in prime brokerage onboarding and derivative documentation workflows, with strong organizational rigor and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of direct operational experience in prime brokerage onboarding, trading account setup, or KYC/AML workflows within buy side asset managers, hedge funds, investment banks, or financial institutions.
• In depth understanding of prime broker onboarding requirements.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, take full ownership of operational workflows, and deliver accurately under tight market timelines.
• High attention to detail, exceptional organizational and analytical skills, strong interpersonal communication, and a continuous desire to learn and adapt.
• Excellent in spoken and written English
• Candidate need to be eligible to work in Hong Kong

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end to end trading account setups, fund entity onboarding, and SPV account opening across prime brokers, executing brokers, and counterparties.
• Fulfill incoming KYC, AML, and tax document refresh requests from prime brokerages, execution brokers, fund administrators, and local regulatory bodies.
• Manage virtual data rooms and organize corporate documentation for management entities and fund structures, partnering with external legal counsel as required.
• Facilitate the review, execution, and ongoing operational tracking of prime brokerage agreements, ISDA/CSA documentation, and associated operational schedules.
• Organize board meetings and committee sessions, overseeing agenda distribution, minuting, and recordkeeping.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, and Trading Operations teams to streamline institutional counterparty interactions and optimize operational workflows.
• Handle ad-hoc operational, middle office, and fund administration projects as assigned by senior management.
