Job summary

PFCC Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Hong Kong to lead design and development of a new-generation platform for global users. You will own the full development lifecycle, focusing on Java, Spring, microservices and cloud-ready architectures.

You will work with stakeholders across regions, drive Agile practices and DevOps with CI/CD, and help evolve enterprise-scale systems with high performance and strong engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, microservices and open-source server-side technologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, enterprise architecture, and design patterns.
• Practical experience with event/message-driven architectures, including MQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and configuration management.
• Strong database experience across relational and/or document databases, including writing queries and stored procedures.
• Experience developing high-performance, transaction-intensive systems and processing high volumes of data.
• Exposure to internal cloud platforms and/or external cloud deployments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex functional processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple regions.
• Self-starter with ownership, leadership, and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong interest in learning new technologies and business domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance Java applications using Spring and microservices.
• Apply domain-driven design and event-driven architectures using MQ and Kafka.
• Contribute to cloud adoption and modernization of enterprise platforms.
• Drive CI/CD and configuration management while supporting Agile practices.
• Work with relational and document databases, writing complex queries and procedures.
