Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a technically seasoned professional in Hong Kong to develop and maintain an end-to-end application stack, including frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure. You will participate in architectural discussions, contribute new features, and ensure code quality through reviews.

The role requires 5–10 years of experience, strong Java and cloud capabilities, and fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Qualifications

5+ years of work experience in technical engineering (ideally close to 10 years).
Background open, preferably from insurance.
Solid proficiency in Java and/or cloud environments.
Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Vendor management experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain end-to-end application stack including frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to new features and systems.
Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and industry standards.
Debug and resolve technical issues with cross-functional teams.
Apply security best practices: authentication, authorization, encryption, and threat mitigation.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code.
Manage vendors to ensure timely, high-quality, cost-effective deliverables.
Contribute to Agile planning and SCRUM delivery of user stories.
Provide production support during non-office hours as required.
