Job summary

PFCC Group is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Hong Kong to lead design and development of a new-generation platform for global users. You will own the full development lifecycle, focusing on Java, Spring, microservices and cloud-ready architectures.

You will work with stakeholders across regions, drive Agile practices and DevOps with CI/CD, and help evolve enterprise-scale systems with high performance and strong engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, microservices and open-source server-side technologies.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, enterprise architecture, and design patterns.
• Practical experience with event/message-driven architectures, including MQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and configuration management.
• Strong database experience across relational and/or document databases, including writing queries and stored procedures.
• Experience developing high-performance, transaction-intensive systems and processing high volumes of data.
• Exposure to internal cloud platforms and/or external cloud deployments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex functional processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple regions.
• Self-starter with ownership, leadership, and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong interest in learning new technologies and business domains.

Our client is a leading global financial services firm, and they are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join their Client Management team in Hong Kong. You will play a key role in developing a new-generation platform supporting global users, with a strong focus on usability, cloud adoption, user experience, and enterprise-scale technology.

You will own the development lifecycle across requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, and delivery, while working closely with stakeholders and development teams across the globe. This is an opportunity for a hands-on technologist to contribute to large-scale platforms while also driving engineering best practices, Agile delivery, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design and develop high-performance Java applications using Spring and modern open-source server-side technologies, with a focus on microservices and enterprise-scale systems.
