Job summary

PFCC Group is seeking a Java Developer to join a leading global financial services firm. You will design, build, test, and deploy Java backend and Angular front-end applications for mission-critical banking systems, taking ownership of full lifecycle delivery while optimizing performance and automating workflows.

You'll work in an agile environment, collaborating with BAs, QA, and Operations across regions to ensure reliable deployments, robust integrations, and efficient incident response.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency across PostgreSQL, Sybase, or DB2; solid Linux OS experience, including shell scripting for automated deployments.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), n-tier architecture, and enterprise integration via REST/SOAP web services.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub) and application deployment in Linux environments.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a strong collaborative team approach.

Our client is on the lookout for a talented Java Developer to join a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, securities, and wealth management services worldwide. You'll play a key hands-on role in designing, building, testing, and deploying technical solutions to support new business growth and evolving regulatory requirements. Working in an agile, dynamic environment, you will take ownership of full-lifecycle application delivery, optimize system performance, and drive automation across regional platforms.

The team builds and supports high-performance platforms that drive business expansion into new markets (including local banking entities), mitigate operational risk, and streamline enterprise workflows for institutional securities.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development: Design, code, test, and deploy Java backend and Angular front-end applications for business-critical banking systems.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub; deploy and support applications on Linux Virtual Machines (VMs) to ensure high availability and performance.
• Data & Integration: Manage relational databases (PostgreSQL, Sybase, DB2) and design scalable REST and SOAP web services for enterprise system integration.
• System Operations: Drive full-lifecycle ownership, including system monitoring (publishing data for Prometheus/Grafana) and production incident response.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts, QA, and Operations teams locally and globally to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3–5 years of hands-on Java development experience with a proven track record in backend solutions.
• Strong SQL proficiency across PostgreSQL, Sybase, or DB2; solid Linux OS experience, including shell scripting for automated deployments.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), n-tier architecture, and enterprise integration via REST/SOAP web services.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub) and application deployment in Linux environments.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications:

• Exposure to Cloud platforms, GenAI, Power Platform, UiPath, or low-code automation tools.

• Prior background in banking or financial services technology.
