Job summary

Human Resources in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced payroll professional to manage end-to-end payroll operations for a sizable organization. The role includes salary payments, MPF, benefits, taxation, and maintaining payroll records.

The successful candidate will provide guidance to employees, prepare payroll reports, and contribute to HRIS projects and process improvements. English and Chinese language skills are a plus, and more senior candidates may be considered for Assistant Manager.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll operations for large organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.

Job description

Responsbilities

• Manage regular pay process in relation to salary payments, MPF, benefits, taxation, and other associated payroll activities.
• Maintain pay records, employee records, leave records and related information.
• Provide advice and assistance to employees on matters relating to salary payments, MPF, benefits, taxation, and other associated payroll activities in accordance with policies and procedures, legislation and employment contracts and agreements.
• Preparation of management reports based upon information within the payroll system.
• Assist in HRIS projects, including system upgrades, implementations, enhancements, and process improvements to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Perform any ad hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in managing end-to-end payroll operations for sizable organization.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, experience in using MRC / SAP Success Factors is an advantage; and proficient in MS Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data inputting with high levels of accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of employer and employee information.
• A good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, well organized, self-motivated, positive mindset, and responsible.
• HRIS project experience is an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese is a plus.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.
