Job summary

ESF in Hong Kong seeks a Senior HR Executive - Payroll to manage end-to-end payroll across the organization. You will prepare payroll for schools/departments, reconcile calculations, and ensure statutory reporting. The role requires a strong background in payroll with HK law knowledge and Excel proficiency.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Accounting/Business, 6+ years payroll experience, and familiarity with PeopleSoft. Cantonese and English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of payroll processing experience; candidates with less experience may be considered for Payroll Executive.
• Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience handling sizeable payroll in Hong Kong (education sector or multi-entity environments a bonus).
• Strong numerical sense, detail-oriented; good communication in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calculate payroll for assigned schools and departments, including base salaries, allowances, overtime, claims, leave, and prorated calculations.
• Reconcile payroll calculations, MPF contributions and gratuity before sign-off.
• Assist in filing statutory Hong Kong payroll requirements including MPF/RSO contributions and tax reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong payroll laws and regulations and keep updated on changes.
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries.
• Take on additional duties and accountabilities as assigned by the line manager.
