Job summary

English Schools Foundation (ESF) in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Executive - Payroll to drive end-to-end payroll processing across our schools and departments. You will handle base salaries, allowances, overtime, leaves, and prorations, ensuring accuracy before management sign-off.

The role requires hands-on experience with PeopleSoft, deep knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO, and strong numerical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of solid payroll processing experience; candidates with less experience may be considered for Payroll Executive.
• Hands-on experience using PeopleSoft is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and MPF/ORSO.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience handling sizeable payroll in Hong Kong (education sector or complex multi-entity environments is an advantage).
• Strong numerical sense and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calculate payroll for the assigned schools and departments, including base salaries, allowances, overtime, claims, leave, and prorated calculations for new joiners/leavers.
• Conduct preliminary reviews and reconciliation of payroll, MPF contributions and gratuity calculations before sign-off.
• Assist in preparing filing of statutory HK payroll requirements, including MPF/ORSO contributions and IRD tax reporting.
• Uphold compliance with HK payroll legislation and stay updated on regulatory changes.
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries.
• Perform additional duties and accountabilities as agreed with line manager.
