Job summary

City Garden Hotel is seeking a seasoned Maintenance & Facilities Manager to oversee all building systems and lead a team of engineers. You will drive preventative maintenance programs, coordinate with departments, and manage budgets while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

The role requires a Registered Electrical Worker (Grade B) and at least 5 years in hotel facilities maintenance, with strong leadership and communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade B) and familiar with HK regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in hotel or building maintenance.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in building management systems and software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong English and Chinese writing; Putonghua a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, safety).
• Lead and mentor engineers and maintenance staff for efficient performance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to improve longevity and reliability.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Identify energy-saving initiatives to promote sustainability.
• Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high service and quality.
