Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for its Hong Kong operations on a 1-year contract. You will oversee a team of technicians responsible for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other clubhouse systems, ensuring high standards and timely repair work.

Ideal candidates bring at least 5 years in facilities management, 3 years in supervision, and a valid Electrical Worker Grade A certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of facilities management experience in hotel, clubhouse or related setting.
• Holder of Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker Grade A.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience leading technicians.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire services and building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts and attend emergencies.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections around the Clubhouse and follow up on issues.
• Lead a team of Technicians for maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems.
• Diagnose faults, estimate repair costs beyond capability and perform repairs.
• Document maintenance costs and provide status reports to the manager.
• Maintain stock of tools, equipment and spares for maintenance works.
• Implement preventive maintenance to minimize disruptions to services.
• Monitor contractors and ensure services meet standards, reporting issues to management.
• Work 5 days per week on rotating shifts; 1-year contract.
• Assist in other related tasks as assigned.
