Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in Hong Kong is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join the Engineering team. Based in Hong Kong, you will supervise the duty team, oversee plant and equipment operation, and ensure repairs and maintenance meet the highest standards.

The role requires a Higher Diploma in Building Services or related field, at least 6 years of relevant experience with 2 years in supervision, plus contractor management ability.

Qualifications

• Minimum Higher Diploma in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 6 years+ relevant experience, at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in managing contractors is highly preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in English and Chinese, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day breakdown and preventive maintenance of all plant, machinery and systems
• Monitor utility consumption and the duty team's work orders
• Liaise with contractors and other departments to perform tasks
• Diagnose problems and implement effective solutions
• Accountable for the engineering department budget
• Perform other duties as required by Engineering leadership
