Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust is seeking a senior leader to advance strategic philanthropy within the Charities and Community Division. Reporting to the Head of Charities, you will oversee the evaluation of funding applications, initiate innovative community initiatives, and lead a team to deliver measurable social impact across Hong Kong.

The role requires deep knowledge of social policy, extensive stakeholder engagement, and a track record in grant-making and project management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–12 years’ relevant experience in philanthropy or public sector funding.
• 7+ years at a senior level.
• Extensive knowledge of social policy and grant-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and assess funding applications from organisations, making recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure proposals meet community needs and comply with policies.
• Develop and implement new initiatives and seek collaborations with Government and NGOs.
• Monitor budgets, report on progress, and provide recommendations.
• Represent the Trust at events and engage stakeholders.
• Lead staff development and cross-team collaboration.
