Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club seeks a Deputy Executive Manager, Charities (Education - Grant Making) to lead and oversee grant-making initiatives within the Education and Youth Cluster. This role reports to the Head of Charities or Executive Manager and focuses on assessing applications, initiating new initiatives, and ensuring alignment with community needs and Trust policies.

You will work with government bodies, NGOs, and tertiary institutions to develop impactful programmes and manage staff

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience, with 7 years at a senior level.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and assess funding applications and make recommendations to the Executive Director, Charities and Community.
• Seek out new initiatives and collaboration opportunities with Government, tertiary institutions and NGOs.
• Propose conditions for grantees and monitor spending, budgets, reports and progress updates.
• Represent the Trust in project activities and stakeholder engagement.
• Plan and oversee professional development of supporting team members.
• Lead or support cross-theme collaboration and cultural transformation initiatives.
