Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust is seeking a senior professional to lead the evaluation of funding applications and manage large-scale philanthropic initiatives within the Charities and Community Division. You will coordinate with Government bodies, universities, and NGOs to address social issues through innovative, cross-sectoral approaches.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Charities and Community, you will develop staff, oversee grants and monitor project outcomes, ensuring

Qualifications

Minimum 10-12 years of relevant experience, with at least 7 years at a senior level.
Extensive knowledge of sectors under the HKJC Charities Trust's funding ambit.
Extensive experience dealing with government officials, academics and foundations on philanthropic matters in Hong Kong.
Strong social policy analysis, project development and management skills.

Responsibilities

Initiate and assess funding applications from non-profit organisations and other bodies, ensuring alignment with community needs and Trust policies.
Seek out new initiatives and collaborations with Government, universities and NGOs to meet emerging needs.
Propose conditions for grantees, monitor budget, prepare reports and project updates.
Represent the Trust at project activities and stakeholder events for monitoring and development.
Lead strategy development for themes and staff development, and support cross-team collaboration.
