Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club in Hong Kong seeks a Deputy Executive Manager, Charities (Youth - Grant Making) to lead grant initiatives and youth programmes within the Education & Youth Cluster. You will assess applications, plan new initiatives, and guide staff across the HKJC Charities Trust to deliver impactful outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Charities, you will engage with government departments, NGOs and academia to align funding with community needs, monitor project progress, and advocate

Qualifications

• Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience with 7 years at a senior level.
• Extensive knowledge of sectors under HKJC Charities Trust funding ambit.
• Extensive experience with stakeholders including government officials, boards, NGOs, and foundations.
• Strong social policy analysis, project development and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assess donation applications from multiple organisations and make recommendations.
• Initiate, develop and implement new initiatives or projects to meet community needs.
• Lead the development of supporting staff and cross-team collaboration.
• Monitor approved projects to ensure timely implementation within budget and scope.
• Represent the Trust in ceremonies, visits and related functions for project monitoring.
• Draft articles and speeches for publicity events as required.
