Job summary

Cathay United Bank Company, Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Relationship Manager for the Financial Institution Team in Corporate Banking. You will maintain and grow relationships with FI clients and identify needs to deliver tailored financial solutions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive cross-border business, assess credit risk, and contribute to profitability through lending, derivatives and markets products. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Banking / Finance or related discipline.
• Over 5 years of banking experience, including 3 years as an RM.
• Experience in credit and foreign exchange is preferred; ECF‑CRM Professional Level is a plus.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing Financial Institution clients.
• Identify needs and deliver diversified and comprehensive financial solutions, including secured and unsecured financing, cross-asset derivatives and flow transactions, money market transactions and debt capital markets offering etc.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and departments to drive cross‑selling and cross-border business opportunities, strengthening overall business growth.
• Identify credit risks in proposals and design appropriate risk mitigation and control measures.
• Develop new FI client relationships including for our DCM franchise.
• Potential clientele includes Banks, Securities, Asset Management Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Exchanges, Insurance and Reinsurance.
