Job summary

Bitget is seeking a seasoned Compliance Leader in Hong Kong to drive regulatory initiatives across the crypto trading platform. You will lead complex compliance projects, design governance frameworks, and coordinate with Product, Tech, Legal, and MLROs to embed requirements into daily operations.

You will draft policies, respond to DDQs, and guide global teams with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset while maintaining high standards of risk management and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial services compliance.
• Crypto/digital asset sector experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving with risk-based solutions.
• Proficient in Mandarin and English, with strong writing in Simplified Chinese.
• Willing to support global teams across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute compliance projects of varying scope and complexity, including partnership integrations, system development, and process re-engineering, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Design and implement product launch approval frameworks and manage stakeholder communications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Legal, and local MLROs to embed compliance requirements into business operations.
• Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory requirements and internal standards.
• Prepare responses to Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) from institutional partners and conduct product/compliance demonstrations as required.
• Drive ad-hoc compliance initiatives from initial scoping and analysis to final implementation and completion, demonstrating strong project ownership.

What you'll do

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in financial services compliance; prior experience in the crypto/digital asset sector is highly preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance regulatory obligations with business objectives, providing practical and feasible risk-based solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail and logical rigor, with the ability to create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) from scratch and effectively communicate with Product & Tech teams to drive system implementation
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, distill key insights from complex information, and synthesize strategic directions and actionable next steps
• Strong sense of ownership, proactive mindset, and a "can-do" attitude towards challenges and multitasking
• Ability to rapidly learn new regulatory topics and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
• People management experience is highly preferred
• Proficient in Mandarin and English, with strong professional writing skills in Simplified Chinese
