Job summary

Bitget is hiring a Senior Regulatory Compliance and Licensing Manager to spearhead crypto licensing programs across the Asia-Pacific and other regions. The role focuses on coordinating with regulators, drafting licensing strategies, and guiding cross-functional teams through complex regulatory landscapes.

The ideal candidate should have at least five years in regulatory compliance within financial institutions or tech startups, with strong project management and multilingual communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as listed in the requirements.
• Strong project management ability and coordinating across stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Chinese/Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify crypto-friendly jurisdictions and lead licensing registrations for APEC and other regions.
• Engage with regulators across HK, Singapore, Dubai, Bermuda, Turkey, India and Europe; provide impact analysis to senior management.
• Develop licensing plans and clearly articulate implications to business leadership.
• Act as project manager coordinating with external consultants and lawyers during licensing.
• Maintain compliance manuals and handle regulatory filings and inquiries.
• Monitor post-licensing CPT records and provide internal training as needed.

What you’ll do

• Identify crypto-friendly jurisdictions and be in charge of crypto licensing applications/ registrations for the APEC and other regions;
• Experience dealing with regulators in the following jurisdictions would be highly valued: Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Bermuda, Turkey, India and pan-Europe (AMF, BaFin, FSMA etc);
• Keep updated on rapidly evolving global crypto regulations. Efficiently review and provide impact analysis of such changes to Senior Management;
• Produce and communicate licensing/registration plans and able to concisely and efficiently articulate the implications to business and Senior Management;
• Act as the key project manager, liaise and coordinate with external consultants/lawyers during the licensing process;
• Formulate, review and update the Compliance Manuals according to the regulations activities and licensing requirements;
• Handle regulatory filings and inquiries from regulatory bodies;
• Perform regular compliance checking and monitoring to ensure business activities comply with regulatory requirements;
• Design compliance-related workflow to support business and operational-related work;
• (Post-licensing) Monitor and maintain staff dealing and CPT records;
• (Post-licensing) Provide internal training and update training materials when necessary.

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Business or Law;
• At least 5 years relevant experience in regulatory compliance and/or licensing roles in financial institutions (banking, consulting, tech, start-up, e-commerce, payment);
• Excellent project management skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
• Excellent command of English written and spoken skills;
• Good command of Chinese & Mandarin (written and spoken);
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-powered tech start-up environment;
• A candidate who will have more experience will be considered as Senior Regulatory Compliance and Licensing Manager.
