Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. is seeking a seasoned data analytics professional to support business analysis and marketing campaigns within the bank. You will craft insights for productivity and branch optimization, and collaborate with product teams, frontline units, and IT to deliver data-driven solutions.

The role requires strong SQL/SAS/Python skills, 5 years of experience, and fluency in English and Chinese. CRM experience is a plus and independent work is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics or Information Technology related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, preferably in Banking, Financial Services or FinTech industry.
• Proficient in big data / machine learning / predictive modelling using SQL, SAS, Python or other analytical tools for model development.
• Good interpersonal skills with strong business sense so as to communicate analytical subjects effectively with various business units including non-technical counterparts.
• Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills.
• Mature, proactive and able to work independently.
• Experienced in CRM system is a plus.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Support regular / ad-hoc business analysis and marketing campaigns of the bank.
• Assist to conduct productivity, branch scorecard and branch portfolio analysis to facilitate sales planning and branch optimization.
• Assist the development of customer/ product level strategy by providing data/ analysis driven insight.
• Work closely with cross-functional units to understand analytic needs and develop solutions, coordinate with IT on data analytics requirements.
• Streamline and automate internal processes to ensure efficient and effective data generation and analytics.
• Follow up with Sales Management team and Branch on sales performance to improve sales efficiency and uplift productivity.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks, participate in system enhancement UAT and assigned projects.
