Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Accountant in Hong Kong to take ownership of the full accounting spectrum for the HK operation. You will independently manage the full set of accounts, monthly management reporting, and month-/year-end closures.

The role requires a degree in accounting and professional qualification (HKICPA/ACCA/CPA Australia or equivalent) with 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, audit, taxation, and treasury. Fluency in English and Chinese is preferred.

• Qualified or partly qualified accountant (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts independently for the Hong Kong operation.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor daily treasury activities.
• Assist in budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and bankers.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Support process improvements and participate in ad hoc finance projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience with hands‑on full set accounting exposure.
• Experience handling audit, taxation, treasury, and financial reporting independently.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong sense of responsibility, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Good command of English and Chinese(Cantonese and Mandarin).
