Job summary

HKUMed – The University of Hong Kong is seeking a Manager/Assistant Manager (Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) to lead the RPg programme administration within the Research Affairs Team. The role covers student recruitment, admissions, progress monitoring and coursework; provide support to core facilities, budgeting, HR, and committee meetings.

Qualifications

• A good university degree and at least 8 years’ relevant administrative experience in higher education, public, or quasi-public sector.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the research postgraduate (RPg) programme at the faculty level, including student recruitment and admissions, progress and probation monitoring, and coursework.
• Provide administrative support to core research facilities, including access booking, budgeting, HR, and supporting management committee meetings.
• Organize seminars and workshops to promote research integrity and good practices for HKUMed staff and students.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support faculty initiatives.
