Job summary

Epicurean Group in Hong Kong seeks an organised, guest-focused Assistant Reception Manager for Jimmy’s Kitchen to support smooth day-to-day front-of-house operations in a high-volume restaurant.

You will lead by example in delivering warm, efficient service, coordinate with events, marketing and restaurant operations, supervise reception staff, manage reservations and guest communications, and contribute to the brand’s standards and guest-relations initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience in a large-scale Western restaurant or high-volume dining outlet
• Experience in hotel restaurants or fine-dining establishments is preferred
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, reservation platforms and third-party platforms
• Experience coordinating group bookings or private events is an advantage
• Fluent English; Cantonese and Mandarin are a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-of-house reception, reservations, seating plans and guest-flow operations
• Ensure a professional, warm and timely welcome from inquiry to departure
• Manage table allocations and waitlists during peak service
• Handle reservations via telephone, email, online and third-party platforms
• Operate the POS system and maintain guest profiles
• Monitor third-party platforms and respond to bookings and guest requests
• Maintain backend inventory records for reception materials and guest collateral
• Coordinate private events and group bookings, including communications and handovers
• Work with Marketing to align menus and guest communications across channels
• Assist with menu updates and online menu uploads
• Maintain accurate guest notes for personalised service
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and escalate when needed
• Train and supervise reception team to uphold grooming and service standards
• Prepare daily reservation reports and guest lists for management
• Ensure reception area stays organised and aligned with brand standards
