Job summary

Jimmy’s Kitchen in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operation of our Western dining restaurant. You will lead front-of-house shifts, train and coach service colleagues, and ensure warm, attentive hospitality while coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless guest journey.

Strong English and people skills are essential. This role reports to the Restaurant Manager and benefits from attractive remuneration and fringe benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality group.
• Experience in a high-volume Western dining operation is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of table service and front-of-house operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to direct a team during peak times.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• WSET knowledge or willingness to undertake wine training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-of-house operations across lunch, dinner, bar, and events.
• Lead service shifts with warm, attentive hospitality.
• Brief and allocate staff, manage floor plans, reservations and seating arrangements.
• Train and coach staff on SOPs, menu knowledge, wine service and upselling.
• Engage with regular and VIP guests, handle feedback professionally.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar for accurate orders and timely service.
• Assist with scheduling, attendance, onboarding and performance reviews.
• Ensure cleanliness, presentation, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with cash handling, POS procedures, opening/closing duties and sales reporting.
• Monitor stock levels, support beverage and operating-supply inventory.
• Support promotions, menu launches and events to drive sales and guest engagement.
• Act as Manager-on-Duty when required.
