Project Manager, Business Process Outsourcing

Your daily routine at Adecco

• Identify and develop new Business Process Outsourcing opportunities across customer service, retail operations, office administration, field sales and marketing, events, and other workforce-intensive functions.
• Engage with existing and prospective clients to understand their business requirements, operational challenges, service expectations and outsourcing objectives.
• Design customized BPO solutions, including operating models, process workflows, manpower plans, governance structures, service-level agreements, key performance indicators and implementation timelines.
• Prepare business proposals, presentations, cost models, pricing recommendations and tender submissions in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Lead the implementation and transition of new BPO projects, ensuring that all operational, recruitment, technology, compliance and reporting requirements are properly established.
• Manage the daily operations and overall performance of assigned BPO projects, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, agreed service levels and client expectations.
• Develop project plans, standard operating procedures, escalation mechanisms, quality-control processes and business-continuity arrangements.
• Lead, coach and develop project managers, project executives, onsite supervisors and outsourced employees to build high-performing operational teams.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, attendance management, employee engagement and performance management for assigned BPO projects.
• Monitor project performance through operational dashboards, service reviews, productivity reports, financial analysis and client feedback.
• Conduct regular business reviews with clients and internal stakeholders, presenting project results, operational risks, improvement actions and business recommendations.
• Manage project budgets, revenue, costs, profitability, invoicing and resource allocation to achieve agreed financial targets.
• Identify operational risks and service gaps, and implement timely corrective and preventive actions to maintain service quality and business continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, improve customer experience and introduce appropriate technology or automation.
• Ensure that all BPO projects comply with company policies, client requirements, employment regulations, data privacy requirements, health and safety standards and other applicable guidelines.
• Build strong and trusted relationships with clients, employees, vendors and internal stakeholders to support client retention, contract renewal and business expansion.
• Collaborate closely with the Sales, Recruitment, Finance, Legal, IT and other internal support teams to ensure the successful implementation and ongoing delivery of BPO solutions.
• Support other related business development, operational and strategic initiatives assigned by management.

Who we are looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in business process outsourcing, managed services, project management, recruitment, staffing operations or workforce solutions, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Proven experience in managing outsourced projects, onsite operations or large workforce teams, preferably within customer service, retail, office administration, field sales and marketing, events, warehousing or logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to identify client needs and translate business requirements into practical, scalable and commercially viable outsourcing solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in preparing proposals, pricing models, project budgets, profit and loss analysis or tender submissions.
• Solid understanding of service-level agreements, key performance indicators, operational governance, quality assurance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Strong project management and implementation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop operational teams.
• Strong client-management, presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive, flexible and results-oriented mindset, with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and performance-driven environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with workforce-management systems, applicant-tracking systems, CRM platforms or reporting tools would be an advantage.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese. Proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
• Willing to work at the office, client sites and other locations in Hong Kong when required.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the position of Assistant Project Manager.
