Job summary

Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited is seeking a senior Interior/Architectural Design Lead in Hong Kong. You will oversee design delivery from feasibility to completion, guiding space planning, concept development and documentation for interior and property development projects.

You will coordinate with departments and external consultants, review drawings and materials, and manage risks to ensure quality, schedule and budget targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture, Interior Design or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant architecture/design delivery experience.
• Registered Architect preferred.
• Experience with new developments, renovation, A&A or commercial office projects.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and multiple internal stakeholders.
• Strong project coordination, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Experience with BIM, Revit, CAD or other design/project systems considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise, plan, coordinate and monitor works for all projects from feasibility to completion.
• Lead space planning, design concept development, material selection and design coordination for interior and property development projects.
• Prepare, coordinate and review tender drawings, construction drawings, specifications and related design documentation.
• Work closely with relevant departments to understand and align project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, lighting and engineering consultants, suppliers and contractors.
• Review consultants’ and contractors’ drawings, submissions, samples and materials to ensure alignment with design intent.
• Arrange and participate in site measurements, inspections and meetings; monitor workmanship and progress.
• Identify design, coordination and delivery risks early and propose practical solutions.
• Support project delivery in accordance with quality, programme and budget requirements.
• Liaise with E&M and facilities teams to support coordination between architectural, interior and building services.

We are looking for a talent to:

• Responsible for advising, planning, coordinating and monitoring works for all projects including new development, renovation, and A&A projects from feasibility to completion;
• Lead space planning, design concept development, material selection and design coordination for interior and property development projects.
• Prepare, coordinate and review tender drawings, construction drawings, detailed drawings, specifications and related design documentation.
• Work closely with relevant departments to understand and align project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, engineering consultants, suppliers, fitting-out contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Review consultants’ and contractors’ drawings, submissions, samples and proposed materials to ensure alignment with approved design intent and project requirements.
• Arrange and participate in site measurements, site inspections and site meetings; monitor workmanship, design implementation, quality and progress.
• Identify design, coordination and delivery risks at an early stage and recommend practical solutions.
• Support project delivery in accordance with agreed quality standards, programme and, where applicable, budget requirements.
• Liaise with relevant E&M and facilities teams to support coordination between architectural, interior, building services and operational requirements.
• Maintain design and material references, and contribute to improved design standards, workflows and construction practices.
• Ensure end-user and business requirements are appropriately reflected in completed projects.

Basic requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Studies or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in architecture, interior design or design-led project delivery. Experience in property development is highly preferred
• Registered Architect or equivalent professional qualifications are preferred.
• Experience in new developments, renovation, A&A or commercial office projects.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and multiple internal stakeholders.
• Strong project coordination, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Able to manage competing priorities and maintain quality under demanding timelines.
• Experience with BIM, Revit, CAD or other relevant design and project systems will be an advantage
• Adoptive AI capability for design, documentation or project workflows
• Good written and spoken English and Chinese.
