Job summary

CloudMile in Hong Kong is seeking a high-caliber Cloud Solution Architect (Presales) to bridge business problems with cloud technology, designing secure, scalable multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud architectures for enterprise clients.

You will lead technical discoveries with the sales team, craft end-to-end solutions covering Cloud Foundation and Data/AI Platforms, and drive POCs, RFP responses, and AI/ML pipelines, communicating business value to CTOs and CIOs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years IT experience, with 3+ years acting as a Cloud Architect or Technical Consultant.
• Deep understanding of Cloud Infrastructure core concepts: IaaS, PaaS, VPC networking, Hybrid Cloud connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect), IAM, Security compliance, and Kubernetes/Containerization.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of the Data Space: Data Lakehouse architecture, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Data Warehousing & Analytics products, particularly Google Cloud BigQuery (Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift are also welcome).
• Conceptual or hands-on understanding of Data Integration (ETL/ELT), Spark, and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI).
• Knowledge of AI/ML workflows (MLOps) and modern Generative AI / Large Language Models (LLMs) implementation scenarios for business.
• Proven track record in a Presales, Technical Account Management, or IT Consulting role within the Hong Kong market.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; ability to articulate the "business value" of technology.
• High level of agility, strategic thinking, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin to effectively interface with HK enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Presales & Technical Consulting: Partner with Sales Managers to lead technical discoveries, understand clients' business pain points, and define the technical vision and cloud strategy.
• Cross-Domain Solution Design: Architect end-to-end cloud solutions encompassing Cloud Foundation (Landing Zone, IAM, Networking, Security, DevOps) and Data/AI Platforms (Data Lakehouse, GenAI/LLM orchestration, MLOps).
• RFP/Bid Management: Drive the technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and complex enterprise tenders, creating comprehensive architecture diagrams, project scope, and effort estimations.
• Proof of Concept (POC) & Demos: Lead and execute high-impact technical presentations, product demonstrations, and POCs to showcase CloudMile’s capabilities and the business value of AWS, GCP and other multi-cloud platforms.
• Data & AI Advisory: Consult enterprise clients on modernizing their legacy data warehouses to the cloud (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake) and designing scalable Generative AI/Machine Learning pipelines.
• Stakeholder Management: Present complex technical architectures clearly to both technical teams (Dev/Data Engineers) and executive C-Level stakeholders (CTO/CIO/CDO).
