Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Pre‑Sales Solution Architect based in Hong Kong to guide customers in designing and deploying scalable data platforms. You will align technical solutions with business goals, travel up to 25%, and partner with sales to win deals while ensuring customer success.

The ideal candidate has 8–11 years in customer facing roles with 5–7 years in pre‑sales for enterprise software, strong scripting/programming skills, and experience with cloud and on‑prem architectures.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years in a customer facing role, with 5–7 years in pre‑sales with enterprise software
• Experience with modern scripting languages (Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#)
• Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on‑prem
• Ability to review complex architectures and guide improvements using MongoDB solutions
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills for technology and business leadership
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Design and Architect scalable, performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimisation strategies, clearly communicating business value
• Partner with Sales to drive account strategy, including technical discovery, demos, and proof of value
• Generate demand within the sales territory through technical initiatives and events
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay current with MongoDB product suite and industry trends
