Job summary

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) invites applications for an Activities Co-ordinator / Head of PE & Sports. The role oversees off-site sports fixtures, co-ordinates transport and venues, and ensures PE facilities and equipment are ready for lessons.

The successful candidate will manage inventories, assist with school policies, and provide administrative support across the PE Department, including newsletters and event registrations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with and supervising children and/or providing sporting activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with families and staff.
• Ability to organise activities and manage multiple events and venues.

Responsibilities

• Manage all logistics of off-site sports fixtures and extra-curricular sports programmes, including communications with parents and students, transport, and venue booking.
• Ensure PE facilities and equipment are prepared for lessons and assist PE staff in classes.
• Maintain an accurate inventory asset record for the PE Department and ensure equipment meets safety standards.
• Assist the PE Department in adhering to School policies (Finance, HR, Procurement).
• Provide administrative support including student tracking, attendance, timetables, and group registries.
• Publish sports activities results and updates in newsletters, Year Book and website.
• Administer registrations for leagues and events and attend meetings as required.
• Organise inter-house sports programmes and related logistics with equipment.
• Lead/accompany students to participate in inter-school leagues, including weekend events.
• Supervise at venues/events as needed.
• Coordinate with overseas partners and travel logistics for sports trips.
