Job summary

OCBC is seeking an operations-focused professional in Hong Kong to manage inbound and outbound clearing activities within a dynamic banking environment. You will verify and reconcile items, handle cheque clearing and direct debit/credit processes, and ensure tasks meet tight deadlines with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in banking or finance, solid English and Chinese, and be proficient with general PC applications.

Responsibilities

• Process inward and outward clearing transactions, including clearing returns.
• Handle cheque clearing, CCASS, FINI, direct debit and direct credit activities.
• Perform verification, validation, data entry and reconciliation of clearing items.
• Generate and submit clearing data, image and return files to HKICL.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks within HKICL/HKSCC cut-off times.
• Liaise with internal departments and branches on clearing enquiries.
• Maintain documentation for audit and compliance requirements.
• Support UAT, operational readiness, procedure review and post-implementation activities.

Academic Qualifications

Form 6 (HKDSE pass) or above.

Working Experience

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking or finance industry.

Technical / PC Skills

Proficient in general PC applications.

Language

Proficiency in both English and Chinese.

Ability to work under pressure. Good communication skills. Self-motivated with detail mind.
