Job summary

Nanyang Commercial Bank Ltd. in Hong Kong is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee daily cheque processing and related operations within our branch network.

You will ensure accuracy, compliance with HKICL procedures, and smooth workflows across teams. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or operations, at least 3 years in banking operations or sales planning, and strong communication with English, Chinese and Putonghua.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration or Operations Management or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of experience in banking, preferably in branch operations or sales activities planning.
• Solid knowledge in bank retail business and local regulatory requirements.
• Independent, flexible, analytical with good problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication skill with strong risk awareness.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute daily cheque processing workflows (sorting, registration, verification, input).
• Verify cheques from branches to ensure HKICL clearing and internal guidelines.
• Communicate with HKICL and stakeholders to coordinate clearing and resolve high-risk cases.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks meet requirements, quality standards and timelines.
• Support end-to-end implementation of new services, ensure user acceptance testing and launch.
• Perform other operational or supervisory duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute daily cheque processing workflows – including sorting, registration, verification, and system input;
• Verify cheques submitted by bank branches to guarantee compliance with HKICL (Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited) clearing procedures and internal guidelines;
• Maintain effective communication with HKICL and internal stakeholders to coordinate clearing matters and resolve exceptional or high-risk cases;
• Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed in alignment with agreed requirements, quality standards, and timelines;
• Support the end-to-end implementation cycle of new services or products, ensuring smooth user acceptance testing (UAT) and successful operational launch;
• Perform any other operational or supervisory duties as assigned by superiors.
