Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is recruiting an Operations Associate for the Cash & Deposit Operations Team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on daily cheque clearing, FPS, and AML monitoring while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance within a well-established banking group.

You will work closely with experienced operations specialists, receiving hands-on guidance on clearing systems, cash management workflows, and regulatory frameworks to support deposits and account maintenance.

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Fresh Graduates are welcome).
• A strong interest in developing a career within banking operations, clearing systems, or financial services.
• Basic understanding of cheque handling, FPS, or transaction monitoring is an advantage, but not essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially MS Excel); basic knowledge of VBA or automation tools is a plus.
• Attentive to details, eager to learn, and a reliable team player.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Daily Clearing Operations: Execute daily cheque clearing, batch cheque issuance, FPS, Autopay, and Direct Debits accurately and in line with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Assist in daily transaction monitoring for AML compliance, prepare transaction data, assist with suspicious transaction draft reports, and support regulatory banking returns.
• Deposits & Account Maintenance: Provide operational assistance on deposit processing, cash handling support, and general account maintenance to support broad department workflows.
• System Testing & Support: Participate in system development projects, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system implementations, and emergency disaster recovery rehearsals instructed by HKICL.
