Gravitas Recruitment Group (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an Operations Analyst / Senior Operations Analyst for a leading hedge fund in Hong Kong. The role provides exposure to hedge fund operations, multi-asset products, and front-to-back trade lifecycle management in a dynamic buy-side environment.

You will support the full trade lifecycle, perform reconciliations, monitor corporate actions and cash balances, liaise with custodians and prime brokers, assist NAV reviews and fund accounting, and

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of hedge fund operations experience.
• Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, and fund operations.
• Exposure to equities, fixed income, futures, options, FX or other investment products.
• Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, brokers, or prime brokers is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA, Python, or SQL is an advantage.

Operations Analyst / Senior Operations Analyst

Our client is a well-established hedge fund with US$2-3 billion in assets under management (AUM) and a growing investment platform in Asia. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an Operations Analyst / Senior Operations Analyst to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to hedge fund operations, multi-asset investment products, and front-to-back trade lifecycle management within a dynamic buy-side environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the full trade lifecycle, including trade booking, matching, confirmation, and settlement.
• Perform daily cash, position, and transaction reconciliations; investigate and resolve any breaks.
• Monitor corporate actions, cash balances, margin requirements, and collateral movements.
• Liaise with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
• Support NAV reviews and fund accounting processes.
• Execute daily cash, position, and broker reconciliations; investigate and resolve breaks; maintain the exception log; and independently verify the administrator's NAV.
• Participate in new fund launches, new product onboarding, and operational projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced operational efficiency.
• Prepare internal reports and support audit and regulatory requests.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund operations, asset management, fund administration, prime brokerage, or middle office.
• Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlements, reconciliations, and fund operational processes.
• Exposure to equities, fixed income, futures, options, FX, or other investment products.
• Experience working with custodians, fund administrators, brokers, or prime brokers is preferred.
