Job summary

Panoramic Hills Capital is seeking a broad-wocus Operations role spanning trade operations, compliance administration, and business operations. The role covers end-to-end workflows, onboarding, and ongoing process improvements across multiple support functions.

The successful candidate will be a fast learner with a Master’s degree and 1–2 years in hedge fund or asset manager settings, fluent in Chinese and English, and proficient in Excel. Notion and basic Python/SQL skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree; 1–2 years in hedge fund/asset manager roles.
• Hands-on exposure to fund operations, not purely admin.
• Fluent in Chinese and English with strong reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run start-of-day and end-of-day workflows; reconcile positions, cash, and margins across broker records and internal books.
• Coordinate with brokers, counterparties, and OEMS/platform vendors on data and connectivity issues; resolve breaks.
• Support broker onboarding: due diligence questionnaires, account documentation, reporting setup.
• Document recurring workflows; improve or automate manual processes where possible.
• Maintain compliance calendar; keep records, training logs, and attestations current.
• Handle day-to-day office administration: vendors, supplies, travel, liaising with external IT.
• Support ad hoc projects for senior team members.

Job description

The Operations function covers trade operations, fund and corporate administration, compliance administration, HR, and the general running of the firm. This role works across all of these areas. The scope is broad by design; candidates should expect generalist work rather than a single functional track.

Responsibilities

Trade Operations

• Run start-of-day and end-of-day workflows: verify trade capture and bookings against broker records; reconcile positions, cash, and margin across broker statements, OEMS/platform data, and internal books; investigate and resolve breaks
• Work with brokers, counterparties, and OEMS/platform vendors on data, connectivity, and operational issues
• Support broker and platform onboarding: due diligence questionnaires, account documentation, and reporting setup
• Document recurring workflows, improve or automate manual processes where possible

Compliance Administration

• Conduct research on specific compliance and regulatory topics as assigned, and summarize findings into internal briefing materials
• Maintain the firm's compliance calendar covering licensing and annual/ongoing filing obligations; keep recordkeeping, training logs, and attestation records current
• Prepare materials for external counsel and consultants as directed

Business Operations

• Handle day-to-day office administration: vendors, supplies, travel, and liaison with external IT providers
• Support ad hoc projects for senior team members

Requirements

• Master's degree; 1–2 years of experience in hedge fund / asset manager / prime broker / fund administrator preferred, with hands‑on exposure to fund operations rather than purely administrative functions.
• Fluent in Chinese and English with strong reading and writing skills
• Fast learner with strong resilience under pressure and a high degree of self‑motivation; willing to take on challenges and complete assigned tasks on time
• Strong communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
• Proficient in Excel; comfort with documentation tools (e.g., Notion). Python/SQL a plus
