Job summary

Aquis Search represents a growing SFC-regulated investment manager in Central, Hong Kong, seeking an experienced fund operations professional to join a high-performing team.

You will oversee daily trade processing, cash reconciliations, and NAV file preparation, serving as the primary contact for investment managers, prime brokers, custodians and fund administrators. You’ll support system improvements with Portfolio Managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 10-15 years of middle and back-office experience in Hedge Fund or Buy-Side Asset Management.
• Strong background in Fund Accounting, fund administration, and portfolio operations.
• Proficiency in VBA is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to take ownership in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily trade processing, cash reconciliations, and overall workflow for a portfolio of investment funds.
• Prepare and review Net Asset Value (NAV) files accurately on a regular basis.
• Act as the primary point of contact for investment managers, prime brokers, custodians, and fund administrators regarding trade execution, settlement issues, and daily operations.
• Monitor daily cash and trade activities, providing timely reports directly to Portfolio Managers.
• Lead investigation and resolution for any trade, cash, or position breaks with internal and external parties.
• Support senior leadership on strategic initiatives, including system implementations and process optimization.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 10-15 years of middle and back-office experience within a Hedge Fund or Buy-Side Asset Management environment.
• Domain Expertise: Strong background in Fund Accounting, fund administration, and portfolio operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in VBA is highly preferred.
