Job summary

Hong Kong Job Consulting is recruiting for an Assistant Manager, Merchant Relationship in Hong Kong. You will identify, originate and develop relationships with retail merchants across market segments, driving revenue and collaboration with internal teams.

The role requires a university degree or substantial equivalent experience, strong merchant networks, POS proficiency, and fluent English/Cantonese with MS Office skills. On-site posting in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• University degree with relevant banking experience.
• Excellent merchant network connection and relationship-building skills.
• Strong knowledge of card acceptance flows and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience using POS terminals is essential.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new merchants to use the Bank's Merchant Acceptance Service.
• Provide quality account management across the merchant lifecycle.
• Explore partnerships with payment vendors and other merchants.
• Cross-sell bank products to merchants to increase revenue.
• Assist Team Head to coordinate projects and measure results.
• Work with Card Marketing on merchant promotions.
