The Bank of East Asia (BEA) seeks a seasoned professional to support the Department Head and Section Head in overseeing overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches. You will assist in reviewing regular reports and budgets, and prepare management summaries for review by senior leadership.

You will monitor performance against KPIs, coordinate referrals with other units, and participate in new business initiatives and product development.

Formación

• University graduate in finance or business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in banking with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
• HKIB qualification would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of banking operations, products and services.
• Understanding of banking policies and rules.
• AORP or CORP certification would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Responsible for assisting Department Head and Section Head in monitoring and supporting business development and operation of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches.

Responsibilities

• To assist in review and analysis of regular reports and annual budgets submitted by overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches and preparation of management proposal summary for Management’s review.
• To monitor the performance of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches against approved key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to meet the Bank’s targets
• To coordinate between overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches and other business units of the Bank Group for customer referrals and/or other business matters
• To work with overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches in new business initiatives, as well as development and promotion of new products
• To handle regular and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably major in finance or business related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in supervisory role
• Relevant HKIB qualification would be an advantage
• Good knowledge in banking operations, products and services;
• Good understanding of banking policies, procedures, practices and rules;
• Holder of Associate Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP) or Certified Operational Risk Management Professional (CORP) will be an advantage
• Self-motivated, good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• A team player with good communication and organisation skills;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
