The Bank of East Asia, Limited is seeking a Manager to oversee overseas, Macau and Taiwan branch operations and development. The role supports department heads in monitoring performance, strategies, processes, and HR matters across these regions.
Responsibilities include reviewing reports and proposals, tracking KPIs, HR support, collaborating on new business initiatives, and ensuring liquidity and funding alignment. A solid banking background is essential.
Responsible for assisting Department Head and Section Head in monitoring business performance and operations of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches, including but not limited to overseeing business strategies, performance metrics, management processes, and human resources-related matters.
Assist in reviewing and analyzing regular reports, business and strategic plans, management memos, new product papers, and project proposals submitted by overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches, and prepare / submit the same to Senior Management for approval.
Monitor the performance of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches against approved key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with the Bank's targets.
Provide support in managing human resources matters for overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches, including recruitment, remuneration package review, succession planning and talent development.
Collaborate with overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches on new business initiatives, as well as development and promotion of new products.
Support the monitoring of liquidity and funding requirements of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches.
Perform regular and ad hoc tasks as assigned.
University graduate, preferably with a major in Finance or Business-related discipline.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking sector.
Relevant HKIB qualification is an advantage.
Good knowledge of banking operations, products, and services.
Solid understanding of banking policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.
Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
A team player with strong communication and organisational abilities.
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin).
