Job summary

Classy Wheeler Limited is seeking a Junior Network Support Specialist to assist network deployment, configuration, and inventory management for a fixed-term project in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong. This 10-month renewable contract role supports regional IT teams and external vendors in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate deployments of switches and SFP/GBIC modules, perform standard changes, maintain accurate logs, update documentation, and contribute to network health reporting

Qualifications

• Experience with network infrastructure configuration and standard change procedures.
• Hands-on familiarity with physical SFP and GBIC components.
• Strong skills in switch installation, racking, and cable management.
• Ability to diagnostics and troubleshoot network equipment physically.
• Good coordination with vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute physical deployments of network switches and GBIC/SFP modules, including racking and cable patching.
• Handle standard network configuration changes following system standards and operational guidelines.
• Validate connectivity post-change and lead joint testing with external service providers.
• Maintain precise inventory logs for all new, active, and dismounted hardware components.
• Update documentation regularly, including configuration records, network topology diagrams, and asset logs.
• Liaise with regional IT teams and internal units to arrange site access for deployments.
• Perform physical health checks on network hardware to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Maintain incident logs and generate routine network health monitoring reports.
