Job summary

Senior Network Support role in a major Hong Kong telecom provider, Lai Chi Kok, focusing on deployment, maintenance, and support of switches, routers, firewalls, and security devices within a large enterprise network.

You will handle on-call duties, monitor performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability and stability of critical IT infrastructure, requiring at least four years of experience and a degree in information technology or related

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with switches, routers, Wi-Fi controllers, IPS/IDS, firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring.
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge in LAN/WAN, Windows, Linux, VMware, and SAN storage.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in network support and administration.
• Degree in IT or related fields (non-degree holders with relevant experience considered).

Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, maintain, troubleshoot network and server infrastructure.

Job Description

• Perform network and server infrastructure deployment, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
• Provide technical planning and support for Internet, Intranet, websites, user application systems, hardware, and system software.
• Deliver on-call support for production incidents and perform shift duties as required.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose system issues, and implement effective technical resolution strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and stability of enterprise infrastructure.

Job Requirements

• Possess hands-on experience with switches, routers, Wi-Fi controllers, IPS/IDS, firewalls, load balancers, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate good knowledge of TCP/IP in LAN/WAN network environments, Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, VMware, and SAN storage.
• Hold a minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience in network support and administration.
• Hold a degree in Information Technology or related disciplines, though non-degree holders with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Possess an excellent command of written English.
• Work 5 days per week, with flexibility for 7x24 on-call standby and non-office hours support as required.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior positions.
