Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Project Manager to lead technology projects in a banking environment in Hong Kong. You will drive end-to-end delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.

You will partner with business users, operations, technology teams and external vendors, manage project plans and governance, and ensure compliance with risk controls and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, project governance, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, technology teams, operations, and vendors.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project delivery across banking technology initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support.
• Partner with business users, operations teams, technology teams, and external vendors to drive project execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, RAID logs, status reports, and governance documentation.
• Monitor project scope, budget, dependencies, risks, and issues, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
• Coordinate business requirement workshops, solution discussions, testing activities, and deployment planning.
• Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production release activities, and change management processes.
• Provide regular project updates and reporting to the Programme Manager and senior stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal governance standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience delivering projects in one or more of the following domains:
• Payments, Loans / Lending, Credit Cards, Brokerage / Wealth Management
• Strong understanding of SDLC, project governance, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, technology teams, operations, and vendors.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Strong risk management, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience preparing project status reports and presenting to senior management.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certifications are advantageous.
