Job summary

Osmium Consulting Group Limited in Hong Kong seeks an IT Operations Engineer to join our IT vendor team. You will monitor and maintain the infrastructure, ensuring uptime and reliability across Linux/Windows servers, Docker/Kubernetes, and network devices.

You will perform patching, incident response, and disaster recovery while leveraging Grafana/Prometheus for performance insights. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is required, with rotating shifts including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher diploma in computer science, IT or related field.
• 1+ years of relevant system administration experience.
• Experience with Windows and Linux administration and patch management.
• Knowledge of Docker/containers and Exchange Server is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform periodic system health checks and monitor infrastructure performance/uptime using tools such as Grafana or Prometheus.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network failures and cybersecurity incidents.

Maintain Linux/Windows servers, virtual machines, Docker/Kubernetes container platforms, and network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).

Apply OS and software patches.

Execute service restoration, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.

Requirements

Diploma or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

1+ years of relevant system administration experience.

Solid experience in Windows and Linux administration, system configuration, shell scripting, and patch management.

Knowledge of Docker/containers and Exchange Server is a plus.

Proficient in spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Able and willing to work on rotating shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Mon-Fri (excluding public holidays): 18:00-03:00 / 02:00-11:00

Sat, Sun & public holidays: 10:00-19:00 / 18:00-03:00 / 02:00-11:00
