Job summary

The Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IT professional for first-line application and desktop support, with strong Windows, AD and M365 skills. The role covers end-user support, IT operations, and security, in a regulatory environment.

Renewable contract role with competitive package. Candidates should be proactive and service‑minded, able to work with users and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline.
• At least 5 years' experience in application/desktop support, IT infrastructure or IT operations.
• Experience with first-line support and IT Service Desk ticketing.
• Solid knowledge of Windows desktop/server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Exposure to endpoint security (MFA, patching, MDM/Intune) and IT security best practices.
• Strong data handling and Excel skills; ability to produce clear SOPs and asset records.
• Good communication, organized, detail-oriented, able to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience in regulator/public-sector/financial-services environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line (Tier 1) application support for the organisation's enterprise systems, triaging and resolving common issues.
• Perform user and device lifecycle administration in on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Entra ID, including account management and Intune enrollment.
• Support day-to-day Microsoft 365 operations — Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and Teams Phone.
• Assist with data centre and infrastructure operations across servers, storage, networking, backup, DR and BC drills.
• Perform endpoint security and compliance tasks, including MFA, patching and device compliance checks.
• Provide first-line desktop and end-user support across hardware, software, networking, mobile devices, logging requests via IT Service Desk.
• Set up and maintain end-user equipment and IT assets, and keep asset inventory up to date.
• Handle data import/export and validation across systems.
• Prepare and maintain IT documentation (SOPs, user guides, asset records).
• Support IT operational and project tasks like equipment rollouts, migrations, system upgrades, audits.
• Fulfil other responsibilities as assigned.
